Service Advisor

We are delighted to be working alongside an established and highly reputable company, as they seek to recruit a Service Advisor to join their friendly and busy team in Eastbourne.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has previous experience within a similar role and ideally has a good understanding of tyres, brakes and general vehicle maintenance. You will be the main point of contact for customers, ensuring they receive an excellent level of service from their initial enquiry through to completion of work on their vehicle.

As a Service Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Dealing with customers face-to-face, over the telephone and via email
• Understanding customer requirements and advising on tyres, servicing and repairs
• Checking vehicles in and ensuring customer and vehicle information is recorded accurately
• Preparing quotations for tyres, servicing, brakes, suspension and other repairs
• Liaising closely with technicians and keeping customers updated on the progress of their vehicle
• Contacting customers regarding any additional work required and gaining authorisation
• Creating and closing job cards, processing invoices and taking payments
• Assisting with the daily planning and organisation of the workshop
• Working towards agreed targets whilst maintaining excellent customer service

Requirements for the Service Advisor:

• Previous experience within a similar automotive, tyre or fast-fit environment
• Knowledge of tyres, brakes and general vehicle maintenance
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Confident dealing with customers both face-to-face and over the telephone
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• Confident using computers and customer/workshop management systems
• Full UK driving licence (essential)

Salary, Hours & Benefits for the Service Advisor:

• £32,000
• Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30pm + Saturday mornings on a rota, 8:30am to 12pm
• Based in Eastbourne
