SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant
Our client, a well-regarded educational institution in Bristol, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Full-time SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will: Work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualised support to students with SEN and SEMH needs Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans Facilitate small group activities and one-to-one interventions to promote academic, social, and emotional development Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including educational psychologists and speech and language therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to student support To be considered for this role, you should possess: A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g. , Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) Proven experience working with students with SEN and SEMH needs Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills ..... full job details .....
