Senior/Principal/Mechanical Engineer My client is an engineering design consultancy working closely with a wide range of clients, across a number of disciplines within the UK rail and utilities industries. Full time role from the Manchester Office with occasional site visits for which travel expenses will be paid.Hybrid working possible when required provided agreed in advance.Can be contract (outside IR35) or permanent role. Responsibilities:Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.Produce design calculations and drawings for the water industryDirect and develop CAD technicians.Prepare scopes for and check output of subcontract MandE design teamsLiaise with, prepare specifications for and review tender responses from equipment suppliers and manufacturersPrepare design investigations, reports and specifications.Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and group standards.Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.Estimate hours required for design packagesPresent at and attend meetings and design presentations Essentials:5-10+ years'' mechanical design experience in the UK water industryGraduate, HND or significant experience from technician levelGood level ITRegistered with professional body and working towards chartership Desirables:Chartered engineerAwareness of electrical design and control systemsExperience in hydraulic designExperience in UMON schemesExperience in wastewater and clean ..... full job details .....
