Senior and Principal Wastewater Modellers

to join the team on a hybrid basis from our office in Crawley. The main focus of the role will be supporting our various clients on their AMP8 and beyond, programmes of work including SOAF, WINEP, DWMP along with catchment studies as required. Within this role the Senior person will be responsible for developing and managing a team of Hydraulic Modellers and other technical staff in order to provide an exemplary service to established and new clients. At Principal level the technical focus of the role will be developing engineering solutions to flooding issues and working with the modelling teams to optimise these solutions as part of WINEP, SOAF and DWMP Studies.

Responsibilities – Senior Wastewater Modeller

Hydraulic modelling using the InfoWorks ICM and InfoAsset ManagerJunior Management of a small team of modellers and techniciansTake an active role in urban drainage activities nationally, and development of innovative ideasWorking on Integrated Catchment Models and developing a team of Hydraulic Modellers and other technical staffLeading a small team of Modellers working on Integrated Urban Drainage projectsAssisting with the Financial and Technical management of projectsLiaising with Clients, Statutory Authorities and StakeholdersAssisting with the development of new techniques and skillsPreparing reports and checking work done by others

Working with a small team of Modellers to develop Integrated Urban Drainage solutionsResponsible for the Financial and Technical management of projectsMentoring and upskilling the modelling staff in the optioneering processTake on a lead role in the identification of urban drainage solutions

Person Specification

Ideally 5-8 years proven UK experience of using InfoWorks ICMHighly proficient computer and technical skillsChartered member or approaching Chartered status (Principal)Ability to effectively manage workloadGood communication skillsSelf-motivated, able to work under pressure and to work as a team leaderGood relationship builder with clients in both the public and private sectors
