You''ll use strong engineering fundamentals, calculations and professional judgement to determine whether designs are safe, substantiated and ready for release.Working within an experienced mechanical engineering team, you''ll provide technical direction while helping develop complex new products from concept through manufacture and testing.The appointment can be made at Senior or Principal level, depending on experience.What you''ll be doingActing as a technical authority and design-sign-off engineer.Reviewing and approving designs, calculations and technical documentation.Making and defending important design and product-safety decisions.Completing and reviewing stress, bending, shear, fatigue and mechanical-integrity calculations.Producing clear, evidence-based design substantiation.Leading design reviews and challenging unsupported assumptions.Developing new mechanical products through manufacture, testing and release.Mentoring engineers and improving design standards.What we''re looking forSubstantial mechanical-design experience involving complex products or machinery.Strong first-principles ..... full job details .....
