Our client, a leading entity within the Defence and Security sector, is looking for a Senior/Principal Hardware Engineer to join their team for a contract position based in Rochester. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving Helmet Mounted and Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Controls, and other associated safety-critical technology.Key Responsibilities:Executing complex hardware design tasks in accordance with the hardware development plan, whilst meeting agreed timescales and allocated budgetsConducting hardware requirements capture, preliminary design, detailed design including a range of analysis tasksAdopting an innovative approach to design and identifying improvements to working practicesWorking with other disciplines within an integrated team to optimise solutions and minimise impacts from dependenciesProviding technical guidance and support to the development and delivery of all aspects of digital and/or analogue electronics solutions.Coaching and developing the skills of junior team membersDelivering design artefacts in accordance with company and industry standardsJob Requirements:Mentor Graphics Expedition EnterpriseAnalogue simulations tools, e.g. Simetrix or SpiceTiming designer tools, e.g. ChronologySignal integrity tools and principlesSystem development tools, e.g. Enterprise Architect, Matlab, SimulinkRequirements management tools, e.g. DOORS Proven ability working on safety critical systems.If you are an experienced ..... full job details .....
