GE ConsultingGE Consulting are looking for experienced ecologists to join our vibrant teams in Exeter and Bristol.GE is a mid-sized (40+) consultancy with an excellent reputation, offering ecology, arboricultural and land management services. Working for a wide variety of clients across the South of England and into Wales, we are big enough to work on major projects yet small enough to feel like you are part of a close-knit team.We are a company that puts its staff first, creating a fun non-corporate atmosphere where a love of wildlife is shared across a team of like-minded people and where work life balance is practised not just preached.This role will vary depending on your level of experience but we require experienced ecologists capable of conducting surveys, writing reports and managing a wide variety of interesting projects to join our team.We are seeking bright and enthusiastic individuals who will bring positivity and passion to our team.Essential skills and experience:Consultancy experience (not just ECoW but writing reports and project management)Excellent communication skills including report writing and client liaisonThorough knowledge of wildlife legislation and the planning system leading to confidence in providing technical advice to clients.Full range of survey skills including habitat surveys and protected species surveysBNG experienceBe a member of CIEEMAttention to detail and the ability to deliver contracts on time and to budgetA client-focused approach where the commercial element of each project can be understood and appreciatedFull driving licenseDesirable skills and experience:A specialism in birds or batsA full membership with CIEEMExperience of writing ES chapters and HRA’sExperience of writing EPSL applications, preferably held in your nameSalary and benefits:A salary to match your grade and experienceA fun and friendly non-corporate working environmentInteresting mix of projects where you have a say in the amount of field work that you doConsiderable CPD opportunities and mentoringA trusting environment with no timesheet stress!Paid leave to volunteer for a charityCompany socialsYour birthday off workContributory pension schemeAll TOIL given back across the yearFlexible home working options and hours of workIncreasing annual leave with length of serviceAdditional leave can be boughtPaid CIEEM membershipCycle to work schemeSeniority level
