This role will be a number 2 to the Head of Wordings, and will be responsible for Property, Casualty and Marine Wordings on a Treaty and FAC basis. The role will include reviewing, drafting and much more. My client is looking for a qualified Solicitor/Lawyer in the UK or Germany, with extensive Reinsurance Wordings/Coverage experience across PandC lines on a global basis (ex US). Key Responsibilities Act as a senior technical expert on reinsurance wordings, supporting treaty and facultative business across international PandC markets. Advise underwriters, claims professionals and client-facing teams on complex wording, contractual and coverage matters. Review and assess proposed wordings for clarity, accuracy, completeness and legal/commercial effectiveness, recommending and drafting amendments where required. Draft and develop new clauses and bespoke reinsurance wordings in response to complex or emerging risks. Provide clear, practical explanations of complex legal and wording issues to non-legal stakeholders, outlining the implications and pros and cons of different drafting approaches.
