Senior Warehouse Operative
Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Senior Warehouse Operative to work for a company in Wantage, Oxfordshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who is ready to take on additional responsibility and develop their leadership skills in a supportive and ambitious business.
Role: Senior Warehouse Operative
Salary: -30,000 per annum
Location Wantage, Oxfordshire
Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:30
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Warehouse Operative
- Stock Control: Checking, booking in and replenishing stock accurately.
- Order Fulfilment: Picking, packing and dispatching orders efficiently and accurately.
- Inventory Management: Supporting stock takes and helping maintain excellent stock accuracy.
- Team Support: Assisting Warehouse Assistants, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and to agreed timescales.
- Compliance: Supporting ISO accreditation activities, Health & Safety requirements and risk assessments.
- Administration: Ensuring all warehouse paperwork is completed, filed and archived correctly.
- Collaboration: Responding to warehouse requests and queries from departments across the business.
- Courier Coordination: Liaising with couriers to ensure items are collected, shipped and tracked promptly.
- Leadership: Providing day-to-day support to the Warehouse Manager and deputising when required.
About you:
- Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working within a warehouse environment is essential.
- Team Leadership: Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising colleagues within a warehouse setting.
- Communication Skills: Confident communicating with people at all levels of the business.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Team Player: Able to work both independently and collaboratively to meet operational targets.
- Adaptability: Flexible approach to working hours when business needs require it.
- Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn and develop a detailed understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices.
- Due to our beautiful rural location, you''ll need a full clean driving licence and your own vehicle.
- Reach Truck experience or a willingness to undertake training.
