Role Overview We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to shape the user experience of a Generative AI platform for a UK government department. This role focuses on making complex AI behaviour - retrieval, uncertainty, hallucination risk, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints - understandable and trustworthy for government users, while meeting GOV.UK Service Standard expectations. Key Responsibilities Conduct user research with internal government users and stakeholders to understand tasks, pain points, and trust concerns around AI-assisted workflows Design end-to-end user journeys for RAG-based question-answering, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop review steps Ensure users understand what the AI is doing, where information comes from, and when human judgement is required Translate guardrails and human-in-the-loop checkpoints into clear, usable interface patterns (eg confidence indicators, source citations, escalation flows) Produce wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs (eg in Figma) Run usability testing sessions with real users and iterate designs based on findings and evaluation ..... full job details .....
