Exclusive Vacancy: (Senior) Underwriter - Energy (Upstream, Midstream, Renewables)Lloyd''s SyndicateCity of London I am currently partnered with a leading Syndicate who are seeking a (Senior) Underwriter to join their Energy division. This role will be Underwriting Upstream, Midstream and Renewable Energy risks on a global basis on Syndicate paper. They have $75m line sizes, and write a mixture of Onshore and Offshore risks. My client is looking for an established Energy Underwriter, with experience in the above classes from a Syndicate environment and someone with strong broker contacts. Key Responsibilities Underwriting and Portfolio Management Underwrite complex global upstream and midstream energy risks in line with underwriting strategy, appetite, guidelines, and individual authority limits. Lead renewal negotiations and develop long-term client and account relationships. Conduct comprehensive risk reviews, including pricing and rate adequacy analysis, exposure assessment, and day-to-day aggregation management. Ensure underwriting decisions, documentation, and administration meet internal standards and relevant market and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting strategy, appetite, portfolio plans, and annual business objectives. Monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability, diversification, and overall portfolio quality.
