Senior Underwriter Property and Delegated Authority Location: LondonContract: 12-month FTC, with potential to become permanentPackage: Highly competitive The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Underwriter to join an established London Market underwriting platform, specialising in Property and Delegated Authority business. The successful candidate will play a prominent role in the management and profitable underwriting of a delegated portfolio, working closely with MGAs and coverholders while helping to deliver the wider underwriting strategy. This is a senior position offering significant responsibility across portfolio performance, underwriting strategy, CAT exposure and client relationships. Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwriting and Portfolio ManagementManage and steer underwriting results across the relevant portfolio, using MI and KPIs to assess production, loss experience, exposure, rate adequacy and pricing discipline.Underwrite delegated business in line with established underwriting strategies, guidelines and authority levels.Review and refine underwriting guidelines, pricing models and portfolio performance metrics.Manage CAT budget allocations and the prudent deployment of CAT aggregate.Analyse portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and underwriting results.Conduct underwriting file reviews and provide peer review where required.Support and provide oversight to Underwriters and junior members of ..... full job details .....
