Senior Trusts and Grants Manager

Shaftesbury is a national disability charity that supports more than 4,000 children, young people and adults with a disability every year to live a life that truly adds up for them. Their vision ''all together better for disability'', is about working alongside the people they support so they can participate, contribute and be valued for who they are. Their work is spearheaded by 1,500+ dedicated staff and volunteers who deliver a wide range of disability care, special education and rehabilitation services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, around the clock. To achieve their vision, they are looking for a Senior Trusts and Grants Manager with the skill and experience to take their already successful trusts and grants portfolio to the next level. As a medium sized charity, success in the position requires a robust understanding of the trusts landscape, stewarding funders and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy. This role will both do the doing in terms of writing applications, reporting on impact and managing relationships with funders, but also operate strategically internally, engaging the right stakeholders at the right time, and spotting opportunities for new projects to seek funding for.
