Senior Transport Operations ManagerBognor Regis This is a key senior role within a fast-paced operation, working closely with the Transport Manager to oversee day-to-day transport activity while helping to improve systems, processes and operational efficiency as the business continues to grow.The Role:You will be responsible for supporting the management of a busy operationKey responsibilities include:Leading and supporting a team of driversManaging day-to-day transport operations and resolving issues as they ariseEnsuring compliance with drivers'' hours, tachographs, Operator Licence requirements and transport legislationOverseeing health and safety, incident investigations and risk assessmentsManaging agency drivers and subcontractorsMonitoring vehicle, driver and operational performanceSupporting the Transport Manager and providing cover when requiredImproving processes and introducing more efficient ways of workingSupporting the implementation of new transport systems, technology and automationUsing KPIs and operational data to identify opportunities for improvementParticipating in an out-of-hours and weekend on-call rotaAbout You:We are looking for an experienced transport professional with a strong background in road haulage, fleet operations or transport management.
