A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Transport Administrator to join a busy and growing operation in Corby. This role is ideal for someone with a strong logistics planning background who enjoys coordinating deliveries, solving problems, and ensuring a smooth transport operation.
Working closely with the Order Processing, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams, you will play a key role in planning efficient delivery routes, coordinating transport activity, and providing excellent support to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily delivery routes to maximise efficiency and service levels.
- Work closely with Order Processors and Warehouse staff to ensure deliveries are scheduled effectively.
- Utilise strong geographical knowledge to optimise routes and transport resources.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal departments regarding delivery schedules and updates.
- Handle customer queries professionally and provide timely resolutions.
- Monitor transport activities and address any operational issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate transport and delivery records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transport function.
- Previous experience within a logistics, transport planning, or transport administration role.
- Strong geographical knowledge and route planning capability.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across departments.
- Experience dealing with customer enquiries and resolving issues effectively.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
