Are you an experienced Town Planner looking for a role where you can take real ownership of projects and work closely with developers, investors, architects and other built environment professionals?

I''m currently working with an established multidisciplinary practice with a strong reputation across the UK for delivering commercially focused development projects. Due to continued growth within their planning team, they are looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to join their London office.

This is a great opportunity for a planner who wants to move beyond simply preparing applications and play a key role in shaping planning strategies, advising clients and helping to deliver projects from inception through to completion.

The Role

You will work closely with senior members of the planning and wider design teams, providing commercially minded planning advice across a varied portfolio of projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and implementing planning strategies for development projects
  * Managing and coordinating planning applications
  * Providing planning advice to clients, developers and internal project teams
  * Preparing planning appraisals and assessing development potential
  * Managing relationships with Local Planning Authorities and other stakeholders
  * Supporting negotiations around S106 agreements and planning conditions
  * Preparing and submitting representations to development plans
  * Supporting appeals, reserved matters and discharge of conditions
  * Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and external consultants
  * Identifying planning risks and opportunities and providing practical solutions
  * Supporting junior members of the planning team and taking a lead on projects
