Job Title: Town Planner - Private Sector Experience Required (Leeds)
Overview
We are working on behalf of a highly regarded planning consultancy to appoint a talented Town Planner to join their growing Leeds team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planning professional looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of planning projects across sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will be involved in managing planning applications, providing strategic advice to clients, and supporting senior team members on complex schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
- Providing clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients
- Engaging with local authorities and key stakeholders
- Supporting project delivery from inception through to completion
- Monitoring planning policy and regulatory changes
- Contributing to business development and client relationship management
About You
- MRTPI qualified (or working towards accreditation)
- Proven experience within the private sector is essential
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
