A leading independent planning consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to join its growing Manchester team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional looking to take the next step in their career, working across a diverse portfolio of development projects and providing strategic planning advice to a range of clients.

Responsibilities

• Managing planning applications from inception through to determination.
• Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation.
• Providing strategic planning advice to clients.
• Liaising with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
• Undertaking planning research and policy assessments.
• Managing client relationships and project programmes.
• Supporting junior members of the team and contributing to their development.
• Assisting with business development and new instructions.

Requirements

• Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and policy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• MRTPI qualification or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
