Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with deep roots in engineering, transport, geotechnical, and planning services. We''re seeking a Senior Town Planner to join their well-established Newcastle team.

Role Overview
As a Senior Town Planner, you will:
Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of planning projects-from applications through to appeals and development strategy.
Prepare planning applications, development briefs, EIA submissions, and master plans.
Collaborate with internal specialist teams (e.g., infrastructure, environmental, transport).
Advise clients and engage with statutory bodies, community groups, and stakeholders.
Mentor junior planners and support project delivery across complex, multidisciplinary schemes.
Candidate Profile
We''re looking for someone who:
Holds MRTPI accreditation and 5-10 years of planning experience in consultancy (particularly in multidisciplinary environments).
Has a deep understanding of UK planning policy and best practice in project delivery.
Excels in communication, organisation, and client relationship management.
Is skilled in integrating multi-disciplinary advice into cohesive planning strategies.
