Senior / Principal Town Planner Location: Manchester, Leeds or SheffieldI am currently working with a leading engineering consultancy specialising in large infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK, who are looking for a talented Senior Town Planner or Principal Town Planner to join their team in either their Manchester, Leeds or Sheffield office.Role Overview You will play a key role in leading the planning aspects of large-scale infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK. This will involve managing planning applications, providing strategic planning advice, engaging with stakeholders and ensuring projects meet relevant planning requirements.Key Responsibilities Lead strategic planning activities for major infrastructure and environmental projects. Provide expert planning advice and manage planning applications through the relevant processes. Liaise with local planning authorities, statutory consultees, clients and other key stakeholders. Support the delivery of complex projects from inception through to completion. Mentor and support junior members of the planning team. Contribute to the continued growth and development of the planning team and wider business.Requirements Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline. Significant town planning experience, ideally within a consultancy environment. Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and the planning system.
