Senior Town Planner Location: Shrewsbury (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: Negotiable + Excellent Benefits Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a well-established and growing planning consultancy based near Shrewsbury. This is an exciting role for a commercially minded Senior Town Planner looking to manage a varied portfolio of planning projects while working alongside a highly experienced team of planning professionals.You will take ownership of planning cases from initial instruction through to determination, providing expert planning advice to a diverse client base and representing clients throughout the planning process.The Role The successful Senior Town Planner will be responsible for: Managing a varied caseload of planning applications from appointment through to determination. Assessing new planning enquiries and advising on planning strategy. Researching planning history, planning policy and site constraints. Undertaking site visits and preparing planning appraisals. Preparing fee proposals and quotations. Producing high-quality planning statements, supporting documents, Certificates of Lawfulness and appeal submissions. Liaising and negotiating with Local Planning Authorities, consultees and other stakeholders. Monitoring planning applications and keeping clients informed throughout the process.
