Senior Test Engineer – Job DescriptionElectrical testing of control panels, components and associated control equipment.Responsibilities

Testing of controls equipment and generation/completion of associated documentationPreparation and wiring of control panels for testing in accordance with Process SpecificationComplete and maintain Test Record sheetsEnsuring all test equipment is in calibrationLiaise with internal/external stakeholders, which may include external customers witnessing testsAssure compliance of components to drawing, design specification, mechanical and/or electrical test acceptance criteria through analysisRaise non-conformance records for all non compliant components including sign off where requiredElectrical fault finding/investigations as required by design or productionResponsible for training and support for Apprentices, Test Engineers and other members of the teamSupport in the creation of risk assessments and safe working proceduresSupport with regards to purchase of new or replacement equipment using areas of expertiseResponsible for verifying Control Equipment and associated instruments including loading of "settings Files" for Programmable instruments, relays and meters (this list is not exhaustive and may include all elements associated with panels)Set and conducting simulating synchronising supplies on control panelChecking functionality of systems to circuit diagramsAssist in training of Aftermarket Service Engineers where requiredQualifications

HNC/D in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceExperience working with control panels, including wiring, fault finding and functionality testingAbility to carry out Insulation resistance, dielectric and earth bond testing as per IEC61439Knowledge of and ability to work with AC/DC power supplies, secondary injection kits and IEDsAbility to understand and follow complex electrical schematic diagramsConfidently follow test procedures internally as well as in front of customersAbility to safely working in an LV environmentWork Style and Flexibility
