Senior Test Engineer

Overview

The Role: Join Our Product Engineering Team as a Senior Test Engineer. At Cox Automotive Europe, our Product Engineering team sits at the heart of Enterprise Technology—building high-quality software that powers the UK and European Wholesale division, including our Manheim Auctions Platform, which transacts hundreds of vehicles daily. We are a collaborative, fast-paced environment where innovation and continuous improvement thrive. We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to help us raise the bar even higher.

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust test strategies across web and API layers.

Build and maintain automated test suites using tools like Playwright, Cypress, and RestSharp.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality at every stage.

Lead exploratory and regression testing, and continuously improve our automation frameworks.

Mentor junior engineers and champion a culture of quality and innovation.

Qualifications

Strong experience in test automation and agile environments.

Proficiency in C#, Docker, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI), performance testing (k6), and CI/CD practices.

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Bonus Points

Experience in the automotive, finance, or SaaS sectors.

Familiarity with DMS, CRM, or finance house integrations.

Knowledge of risk-based testing and database technologies.
