Senior Tax Professional

We are actively recruiting for a job opportunity with a successful, long standing, accountancy firm based in Cambridgeshire. The role is commutable from locations such as Cambridge, Ely, Huntingdon, St Ives, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Thetford, and Peterborough.The firm are looking to hire a Senior Tax Professional but will consider Semi-Senior level applicants. The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason.The successful candidate will need to be confident, independent, and self-sufficient, with the ability to manage their own workload, communicate directly with clients and progress personal tax compliance matters with minimal day-to-day supervision.Responsibilities:Manage and deliver tax compliance work, ensuring all statutory and client deadlines are met.Work closely with Partners and senior colleagues on a range of private client and advisory tax matters.Provide support and advice on Capital Gains Tax (CGT), including disposals of UK property and other assets.Prepare and review UK property CGT returns, ensuring accurate and timely submission.Assist with Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning, compliance, and advisory matters.Deal with trust taxation, including Trust Registration Service (TRS) requirements. Inheritance Tax matters relating to trusts.
