At Schneider Electric, sustainability is at the core of our strategy. The Senior Tax Accountant will sit within the Finance function and be responsible for the management of UKandI tax submissions and tax-related projects, leveraging support from the finance team and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting. The role supports the UKandI tax compliance manager to manage regulatory changes, audits and bespoke projects, reporting to the UKandI Tax Compliance Lead.Location:
UKandI, preferably in one of our Hubs: Coventry, Telford, London, Leeds, Maynooth and GalwayCore Responsibilities
Manage the VAT analysis, filing and reconciliation processes across the UKandI.Prepare VAT submissions and perform reconciliations between the ERP system and underlying reports.Manage the tax submission computations for UKandI entities.Manage the tax accounting process across multiple entities under IFRS for group and entity reporting, in coordination with the Tax team.Coordinate Tax accounting and filings with Tax teams.Manage VAT-efficient project delivery and respond to VAT inquiries from local Tax Authorities.Submit VIES and other statutory returns.Liaise with tax advisors and coordinate the Corporation Tax process across the UKandI.Prepare monthly and annual Corporation Tax calculations.Handle new VAT registrations/deregistrations as required.Support finance transformation, adopting accounting and tax global blueprints. Review processes for maximum efficiency and digital adoption.Document CT and VAT risks and related processes and controls including associated risk registers.Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to configure ERP systems for VAT compliance.Support the tax team in managing external requirements on audits, BRRs and transfer pricing.What will help you to be successful?

Qualified Tax Adviser - CTA or equivalent.3+ years managing complex tax computations.Strong technical background in Corporation Tax and VAT.Analytical and conceptual thinking to organize and interpret complex information and challenge business decisions.Proven ability to organize and prioritize workload, meet deadlines and provide professional service.Highly motivated self-starter able to manage own time and workload.Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.Excellent attention to detail and communication skills at all levels of the organization, with ability to influence and guide senior management on strategic decisions.Diversity, Inclusion and Ethics
