Senior Systems Engineer - Server and Storage (3rd Line)

Location: Sunderland Type: Contract Working Pattern: Full-time onsite (5 days per week) We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support and maintain critical enterprise infrastructure within a fast-paced, highly available environment. This is a hands-on 3rd Line role responsible for the administration, optimisation and support of server, storage and virtualisation platforms, whilst acting as a senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain enterprise server, storage and virtualisation environments Administer Microsoft Hyper-V, failover clustering and high-availability solutions Manage backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes using Veeam Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity and availability using SolarWinds Support Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP Perform hardware troubleshooting, upgrades, patching and maintenance activities Participate in an on-call rota and out-of-hours maintenance activities Essential Skills andamp; Experience Strong Microsoft Hyper-V administration and troubleshooting experience Experience with Windows Failover Clustering and virtual networking HPE server and storage platform experience Proven expertise with Veeam Backup andamp; Replication SolarWinds administration and monitoring experience Active Directory, DNS and DHCP administration Enterprise infrastructure or data centre support experience Strong troubleshooting ..... full job details .....
