Job: Senior Systems Engineer (Requirements Engineer) – Micro NavAs Senior Systems Engineer you will report to the Head of Quality Assurance and Systems and be responsible for providing requirements analysis and systems engineering support for the following business functions:

Product development for customer projects and RandD

Sales and Marketing

Customer Support

The ideal candidate will be versatile and flexible to deal with a wide range of tasks and rapid changes in priority. The role is customer facing and you will be the focal point for many initial and ongoing customer interactions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure accurate capture of customer requirements, covering solution architecture, development of new and updated features, and data interfaces to third-party systems.

Represent the company during activities with customers, integration partners and end-users, including requirements gathering, critical design reviews and integration activities (on-site or online).

Translate Customer Requirements Into Software Requirements, ensuring:

Reflection of the proposed solution architecture

Reflection of operational needs

Provision of a suitable platform for software testing

Acceptance by the customer on first delivery

Review solutions to ensure they address functional requirements and meet customer and internal needs.

Provide system-level guidance and technical advice to other departments as required.

Maintain the requirements baseline for each product and comply with the company Quality Management System.

Maintain awareness of and knowledge on specialist technical topics to support projects and internal needs.

Own the process improvement plan in the systems team and related functions.

Attend the office in Southbourne three days a week and as requested; travel to customer sites worldwide as needed.

Technical Requirements

Knowledge of Systems Engineering best practice.

Expert understanding of ATC operational protocols and procedures.

Knowledge and use of the Windows family of operating systems.

Education and Experience

Knowledge/experience of engineering practices, processes, methods, and tools, including requirements engineering and solution architecting. Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; deriving requirements for system components; preparing detailed requirements specifications to control development and testing of software. Strong PC literacy and solid IT skills; familiarity with requirements management tools and MS Office. Experience/knowledge of ATC/ATM environment.
