Senior Systems Engineer

I''m looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a leading defence organisation based in Rochester. This is an opportunity to contribute to complex, high-impact engineering programmes within the defence, aerospace, and security sectors. You will work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to develop advanced technology solutions that operate across a wide range of environments, from subsea to space. The RoleAs a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a central role in understanding and translating complex customer needs into structured, multi-level system requirements. You will lead the development of sophisticated system architectures using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques and support the integration, analysis, and testing of real-time systems.The role carries responsibility for delivering technical work packages, ensuring outputs meet both technical standards and customer expectations. You will also contribute to the development of team capability through coaching and mentoring, while driving improvements in engineering practices through the adoption of modern methodologies such as Agile and "Learn First" approaches.
