Senior Support Worker

Job Summary
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting young people, in their daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Your primary focus will be to provide compassionate care within a children''s care home setting, helping young people maintain their independence and tending to their needs. You will be responsible for implementing care plans and offering support tailored to each individual''s needs.Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.Implement and monitor care plans to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.Supervise and lead a team of junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.Maintain accurate records of residents'' progress and any changes in their condition.Foster a positive environment by engaging residents in social activities and promoting their emotional well-being.Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.Drive residents to appointments or social outings as required.Skills
Proven experience in a children''s care home care setting is required.Strong leadership abilities with previous supervising experience preferred.Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and team members.Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation efficiently. Experience using Clearcare would be preferred.A valid driving licence is required for transporting residents when necessary. This role requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about providing high-quality support to those in need while fostering an environment of respect and compassion for young people in our care.Requirements
