We are looking to recruit a passionate and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Manchester. You will provide person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities in all aspects of everyday life and to assist them in enjoying a wide range of activities. You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for variety of people we support. Senior Support Worker duties include: Supervising, managing and mentoring a team of staffDeveloping and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service usersEncouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities, both within and outside of their homesProviding personal care, administering medication and lone workingYou will be required to support with overseeing staff deployment and rotas and to work in a flexible manner yourself including working some evenings and weekends.Working closely with local multi-disciplinary teams and community-based agencies to provide holistic, wrap-around supportFacilitate service user engagement, involvement and peer supportEnsure that there are robust methods of quality monitoring This post is an ideal opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service, giving real job satisfaction as you assist people in defining and achieving their goals both service users and support staff you will work with.
