We are working with a progressive, design led engineering consultancy to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer for their Manchester studio.

The Role - As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of structural engineering projects across a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, education, development and regeneration.

You will be involved in both technical delivery and project leadership, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary design teams while also supporting the development of more junior engineers within the business.

The role offers exposure to projects from concept through to completion, with the opportunity to contribute to technical design, project planning and wider business growth.

Key responsibilities include

• Structural engineering design across a range of project types
• Preparing and reviewing calculations, drawings and technical reports
• Coordinating with engineers, technicians and multidisciplinary design teams
• Attending project and client meetings
• Carrying out site visits and inspections where required
• Supporting project planning, resource management and programme delivery
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Assisting senior leadership with project delivery and technical input
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards and internal quality procedures

About You

• Chartered Structural Engineer
• Strong experience within a consultancy environment
• Experience working across sectors such as residential, commercial, education or regeneration
• Strong technical design and project delivery capability
• Excellent communication and collaborative working skills
• Ability to manage workloads, deadlines and project priorities effectively
• Passion for sustainability, architecture and the wider built environment
