Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support the delivery of a diverse programme of bridge maintenance, highway structures, strengthening and renewal schemes for a local authority. This opportunity would suit an engineer with extensive experience in the design, assessment, inspection and project delivery of bridges, retaining walls, culverts and other highway structures. You will play a key role in managing schemes from concept through to construction, working closely with contractors, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, assessment and strengthening of highway structures, including bridges, culverts and retaining walls.Produce calculations, drawings, reinforced concrete detailing, specifications, bills of quantities and contract documentation.Act as Engineer''s Representative, NEC Supervisor or Site Supervisor on construction projects.Undertake bridge inspections, structural assessments and technical reviews in accordance with relevant standards.Manage project delivery, ensuring schemes are completed safely, on time and within budget.Liaise with local authorities, contractors, statutory undertakers, environmental bodies and internal stakeholders.Support the procurement and administration of NEC contracts, maintaining project records and documentation.What''s on Offer? 55 per hourInitial 6-month contractOpportunity to contribute to major bridge and highway structures projects.Hybrid working ..... full job details .....
