A Senior Structural Engineer is sought by an independent consultancy in Bristol, focusing on architecturally driven building design. Are you an experienced structural engineer who has experience working with building structures?
We are working with an independent structural engineering consultancy in Bristol which specialises in the design and delivery of contemporary, architecturally led buildings. After much planning and due diligence, this business has begun their search for an engineer at either a senior or principal level who can progress into a place on the senior management team. This role is a key part of the team succession plan.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware engineer who wants to take a leading role in project delivery, client relationships and the development of junior colleagues. Experience across large-scale commercial, industrial, logistics or specialist building projects would be beneficial, but the right attitude, leadership ability and willingness to contribute to a growing team are equally important.
Responsibilities:
- Lead structural engineering projects from concept and feasibility through to construction completion.
- Managing project delivery.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, architects
- Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Eurocodes and UK standards.
- Mentor and develop junior members of staff and support their professional development.
- Contribute to business development, client relationship management and the continued growth of the business.
- Hold a relevant degree in civil, structural or architectural engineering
- Either chartered or on route to chartered status
- Experience working in a design environment with related to building structures
- A good understanding of building regulations and design codes
- Enjoys engaging with peers and leading processes
