Senior Structural Engineer

Overview

My client, a highly-respected, forward-thinking Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team of design engineering experts, based in the large, diverse, vibrant city of Birmingham.Essential Criteria

Extensive experience in the Structural Engineering sector, having worked across a range of commercial and residential projects in a consultancy settingA Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil and Structural Engineering, or other relevant disciplineDemonstrable experience of industry-based project managementKnowledge of the relevant section agreements, including S106, S278, etc., and their respective applications within the industryExperience of stakeholder engagement across the public and private sectors, with particular commercial knowledge and awarenessGood working knowledge of a range of software packages, including AutoCAD, Tekla, etc.Beneficial Criteria

Chartered Membership of a recognised Professional Body, or actively working to achieve thisExcellent communication skills, with some experience of stakeholder managementGood time management skills, with the ability to remain flexible and adaptable across a range of projectsA willingness to engage with a variety of projects, with a view to proactively developing your careerRole and Responsibilities

Overseeing a range of design projects, from inception through to successful deliveryPreparation of fee proposals and tenders, drawing upon technical and commercial experienceDesigning structural projects whilst ensuring the relevant health and safety standards, building regulations, and necessary specifications are adhered toLeading your team in the development of detailed plans and models for a variety of functional structural projects, across commercial, industrial, and residential developmentsCreating detailed structural reports and drawingsWorking with architects, contractors, and a range of other stakeholders in the delivery of various projectsBenefits
