Senior Structural Engineer | Leicester

Our client, a growing engineering consultancy based in Leicester, is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to strengthen their structural team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer seeking greater responsibility, client exposure, and involvement in a varied portfolio of projects.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of structural projects from concept through to construction. Working closely with clients, architects, contractors, and fellow engineers, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors, including:

• Residential developments
• Commercial buildings
• Industrial facilities
• Retail schemes
• Education projects
• Refurbishment and regeneration schemes

You'll be given the autonomy to manage projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

• Leading structural design on a variety of projects from feasibility through to detailed design.
• Designing structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.
• Producing and reviewing structural calculations, reports and technical specifications.
• Managing project programmes, budgets and client relationships.
• Attending site visits, surveys and project meetings.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
• Mentoring and developing graduate and intermediate engineers.
• Supporting the technical and commercial success of projects.

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Several years of experience within a UK structural consultancy environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of relevant design codes and standards.
• Experience delivering projects independently.
• Proficient with industry-standard analysis and design software.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Progressing towards Chartership or already Chartered (IStructE or ICE).
