Senior Structural Engineer | Leicester

We're working with a well-established engineering consultancy in Leicester that is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to play a key role in delivering structural design solutions across a wide range of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll be involved in projects from concept through to construction.

As a Senior Structural Technician, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality structural drawings and models, working closely with engineers, architects and contractors to deliver successful projects across:

• Residential developments
• Commercial buildings
• Industrial schemes
• Education projects
• Retail developments
• Refurbishment and redevelopment projects

You'll have the opportunity to work on projects of varying size and complexity, taking ownership of technical delivery while supporting junior team members where required.

• Producing detailed structural drawings and BIM models.
• Developing structural solutions in steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Coordinating with engineers, architects and external consultants.
• Preparing construction issue drawings and technical detailing packages.
• Assisting with project coordination and design team meetings.
• Ensuring work is delivered to industry standards and project deadlines.
• Supporting and mentoring junior technicians.

• Proven experience as a Structural Technician within a consultancy environment.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience using Revit and BIM workflows.
• Knowledge of structural detailing for steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
