Senior Structural Designer (Remote)

I'm currently supporting a specialist offshore engineering organisation in their search for an experienced Senior Structural Designer to support the structural design delivery of a Minimum Facilities Jacket Platform FEED project based in Norwich.

This role will suit a senior structural design professional with a strong background in offshore structures, AVEVA E3D, structural steelwork and multidisciplinary engineering projects.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D structural models using AVEVA E3D
• Produce structural drawings including GA drawings, layouts, fabrication details, installation drawings and material take-offs
• Model primary and secondary steelwork, supports, access platforms and associated structural interfaces
• Translate engineering calculations, sketches and design intent into accurate, constructible models and drawings
• Participate in multidisciplinary model reviews, identifying and resolving clashes and constructability issues
• Coordinate with Structural, Piping, Mechanical, E&I and other engineering disciplines throughout the FEED phase

What We're Looking For:

• Extensive experience as a Senior Structural Designer within offshore, Oil & Gas or energy projects
• Advanced AVEVA E3D structural modelling experience
• Strong understanding of structural steelwork, connections and fabrication practices
• Experience producing fabrication-ready drawings and coordinated 3D structural models
• Ability to interpret engineering calculations, specifications, sketches and design mark-ups
• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or significant relevant industry experience

Desirable:

• Previous experience delivering offshore FEED and detailed design projects
• Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Experience with Navisworks Manage and multidisciplinary model coordination
• Experience taking structural designs from concept through to detailed design
• Experience supporting fabrication, installation and construction teams

This is an excellent contract opportunity to play a key role in a significant offshore FEED project, working with a collaborative and experienced multidisciplinary engineering team.
