Senior Structural Bridge Engineer (Post-Charter)

James Gray Recruitment are working with a leading consultancy to recruit a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer. This opportunity is perfect for someone who has achieved chartered status (IStructE or ICE) and has 1–2 years’ post-charter experience. Based in Glasgow, you’ll take a key role in delivering complex and innovative bridge projects as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, assessment, and analysis of bridges and other civil structures.Produce and review calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.Carry out site inspections and provide technical support throughout the construction phase.Apply UK standards and Eurocodes to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient designs.Work collaboratively with project teams and clients to ensure successful delivery.Mentor and support junior engineers, maintaining technical quality and consistency across outputs.RequirementsChartered Civil or Structural Engineer (IStructE or ICE), with 1–2 years’ post-charter experience.Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.Strong background in bridge engineering, with experience in design and assessment.Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.Excellent communication, project coordination, and client-facing skills.Full UK driving licence preferred.What’s on OfferOpportunity to work on a wide variety of bridge and infrastructure projects.Competitive salary with flexible benefits and support for ongoing professional development.Collaborative team culture with scope for leadership ..... full job details .....
