**Full time:** 37.5 hours per week

**Shifts:** Monday–Sunday (long days, nights and weekends)

Rated “Good” by the CQC, The Portland is the UK’s only private hospital dedicated exclusively to the healthcare needs of women and children.As a Senior Staff Nurse in our Neonatal Unit, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care. Acting as deputy to the Sister/Charge Nurse, you’ll support the day-to-day smooth running of the unit, mentor junior staff, and lead shifts when required. You’ll be a key advocate for patients and their families, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective care.This is a varied and rewarding role. You’ll be involved in everything from implementing and evaluating holistic care plans, to participating in audits and quality improvement initiatives. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.****What you''ll bring:*** NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN)/NMC Adult Registered Nurse, with Qualified in Speciality Training (SCBU, HDU and ICU modules)* Experience working within a Neonatal Unit, including attendance to deliveries in labour ward (post-qualification) (*Essential)** Neonatal Life Support (*provider status Essential*)* Experience of supervising and assessing students and shift leading is essential *(essential)** Understanding of Safeguarding issues* Teaching and mentoring experience* Excellent written and verbal communication* Excellent clinical governance and experience with audits
