Senior Sous Chef

The Role Dainton Park is a family-owned business comprising an 18-hole golf course, restaurant and meeting rooms. We are seeking a Senior Sous Chef to help manage our catering operation. We serve a wide range of customers, including members, visiting golfers, business meetings, lunch buffets, weddings and evening functions.We are a busy venue, but we promote a healthy work/life balance. We are closed Christmas Day, staff work av. 40-hrs pw with no split shifts, and evening service is for private functions only, so if nothing is booked, it''s an early night! Our USP is the familiar feel we generate among staff and customers, which creates a relaxed, friendly atmosphere throughout the club.Our kitchen has recently undergone a £75k refit, including a brand new cookline, extraction and cold storage. The role is full time flexible hours. Salary ranges from £32-35k depending on experience. Main responsibilities include Leadership and Management: Support and assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations. Oversee and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs and porters. Mentor, train, and motivate junior chefs and kitchen team members. Run the kitchen and lead the team in the Head Chef''s absence. Culinary Operations: Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and served to the highest standards. Participate in menu creation, costing, and the development of new dishes.
