Develop and implement global sourcing and supplier strategies, and identify and execute cost savings programsLead a team of Sourcing Specialists, driving cost savings initiatives and short, mid or long-term sourcing solutionsProvide market intelligence on commodities, currency trends, and manufacturing practicesNegotiate complex global contracts and build senior-level supplier relationshipsDeliver impactful strategic sourcing reports and influence key decisions at senior leadership levelWork collaboratively across functions (Commercial, Bid, and Strategic teams) to support growth and maximise valueImplement supplier rationalisation strategies and margin improvement programsTravel internationally to strengthen supplier partnerships and sourcing strategiesWhat we''re looking for
A degree (or equivalent proven experience) in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply ChainStrong background in procurement, sourcing, and supplier management — ideally with experience in the fastener industry or similarProven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teamsExceptional negotiation skills and business acumenAnalytical mindset, capable of turning complex data into actionable strategiesExcellent communication and influencing skills — confident in presenting at senior levelHigh levels of drive, resilience, and results orientationMultilingual skills (advantageous but not essential)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Business Intelligence tools is a plusAt Optimas, you''ll be part of a dynamic global business that values innovation, teamwork, and forward-thinking sourcing strategies.
