The Role

Valoris Group are working with a growing renewable energy business specialising in Solar PV and Battery Storage, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Solar PV Electrician to join their expanding team.

This is a key position within the business, suited to an experienced electrician who has strong hands-on Solar PV experience and is looking to take the next step in their career.

You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality Solar PV and battery storage installations, electrical testing, commissioning and fault finding, while also supporting junior engineers and helping ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.

With the continued growth of the business, there is genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to take on additional responsibility and progress within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing and connecting Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems
• Carrying out electrical testing, commissioning, fault finding and diagnostics
• Working across domestic and commercial renewable energy projects
• Installing associated electrical equipment, containment and cabling
• Completing test certificates, installation paperwork and commissioning documentation
• Ensuring all work meets current regulations, industry standards and health and safety requirements
• Supporting junior engineers and maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Communicating professionally with customers and project teams

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced electrician with a strong background in Solar PV installation and electrical works.

Ideally, you will have:

• Level 3 Electrical qualification and current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Proven Solar PV installation experience, ideally including battery storage
• Strong testing, fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently while supporting other members of the team
• Professional approach with strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Desirable Qualifications

• 2391 Inspection & Testing
• Solar PV or Battery Storage qualifications
• MCS experience
• Domestic and commercial Solar PV experience
• EV charging or other renewable technology experience
