Overview

Senior Software Engineer, Product Security Engineering. The LSEG DevSecOps Engineering team is looking for Senior Software Engineers to build tools and automations to help secure software development for thousands of developers across the group. You will work as part of a geographically distributed remote team comprising security engineers and software engineers. The team’s mission is to enable engineers to embed security best practices frictionlessly as part of their day-to-day work.Responsibilities

Collaborate with security and software engineering teams to design and implement tools and automation for secure software developmentContribute to security assessments, code reviews, and vulnerability management across diverse technology stacksBuild and maintain full-stack products (web applications, APIs, CI tooling, or low-level software) with a security focusWork with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes) emphasizing securityUse infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation) to manage secure infrastructureAddress supply chain security risks and mitigations throughout the SDLCAutomate security tools, processes, and controls (web apps, APIs, CI/CD integrations)Advise and educate engineers on secure coding and remediation through strong communicationHandle data-intensive tasks with knowledge of relevant algorithms and data structuresAnalyze large datasets for security monitoring, detection, or incident responseQualifications

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure software development, and threat modelingExperience in security assessments, code reviews, and vulnerability managementExperience building full-stack products (web apps, APIs, CI tooling, or low-level software)Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes) with a security focusFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)Knowledge of software supply chain security risks and mitigation strategies in the SDLCAbility to build and automate security tooling, processes, and controlsStrong communication skills for advising engineers on secure coding and remediationExperience working with diverse technologies from low-level C++ to high-level TypeScript web apps and new cloud technologiesExperience analyzing large datasets for security monitoring, detection, or incident responseAbout LSEG
