Senior Software Engineer (Java/AWS)

On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Java/AWS) for a 12 month (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Blackpool, or Sheffield. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the modernisation of a critical Legacy platform within the Attendance Allowance service. Working as part of a collaborative Agile team, you''ll help shape the design and delivery of a modern AWS cloud based solution, replacing a Legacy platform with scalable, secure and maintainable services. This role combines technical leadership, solution design and hands on software engineering using Java, microservices and modern cloud technologies. You''ll work closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Test Engineers and DevOps specialists to deliver high quality software while helping to drive engineering best practices across the team.
