Telematics and Sustainability . Work with product managers, designers, firmware, and infrastructure engineers to design, build, test, and deliver end-to-end productsDevelop skills and knowledge across multiple technologies – Go, GraphQL, Typescript, JavaScript, React, and React Native; direct experience with these technologies is not requiredSolve real-life problems and optimize fleets globallyCoach, mentor and guide engineers in the team, supporting their growth and developmentMaintain the production systems that your team owns and provide operational supportGrow as an engineer in an engineering-first environment with opportunities for progressionParticipate in on-call rotation and outage investigations within the team’s domainChampion Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on customer success, build for the long term, adopt a growth mindset, be inclusive, and win as a team)Qualifications

5+ years of relevant industry experienceProfessional experience developing customer-focused products in a teamStrong programming fundamentals in Java, Python, Golang, or JavaScriptExperience designing, building and maintaining large-scale systemsExperience operating, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale application servicesAbility to estimate, communicate, and deliver project milestones with your teamAn ideal candidate also has:Experience with Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languagesFamiliarity with multiple tiers, like React Frontends and MicroservicesContributed to delivering meaningful value to customersCuriosity about customers and a desire to improve their day-to-day experienceWillingness to iterate on new products based on customer feedbackEqual Opportunity
