Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack/Backend

We are looking for a

Senior Software Engineer

to lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning models, build scalable applications, and optimise workflows.Not only will you directly contribute to our client deliverables, but you will have the opportunity to experiment with a range of cutting-edge techniques and deliver full-stack data science projects, from solution design through to deployment.

We''re looking for someone with a co-operative, can-do attitude who can build high-quality data engineering solutions.Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex AI models and algorithmsDefine data collection, cleaning, and pre-processing strategiesArchitect and maintain robust data pipelines and data management systemsLead the training of machine learning models, ensuring high performance and scalabilityBuild processes for extracting, cleaning and transforming data (SQL / Python)Ensure seamless integration of AI solutions with existing systems and applicationsStay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learningBe an example of software engineering best-practice e.g. Git / Docker / cloud deploymentContribute to proposals for exciting new data science opportunitiesProvide direction and mentoring to more junior software engineersDegree in a quantitative field such as engineering, mathematics, financeProven experience of successfully delivering complex software projectsProven experience of delivering design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions and holistic understanding of the software development process, from design through to deployment, and associated project management and risksProven experience of code reviews in Python and SQL through Git, and applying other best practices to technical projectsProven experience of developing data engineering pipelines, backend services and APIsProven experience of using SQL and databases (SQL Server, Postgres etc), as well as a cloud platform for developmentExtensive knowledge of software engineering concepts and principles with a deep understanding of emerging technologies and industry trendsDeep expertise of at least one programming languageDeep understanding of cloud deployment (e.g. AWS, Azure) Linux scripting (e.g. bash)A holistic understanding of the software development process, from design through to deployment, and associated project management and risksAdvanced Docker with deep understanding of Docker storage and Volumes, linux permissionsUnderstanding of Python advanced concepts including Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Concurrency, decorators, recursionStage 1: 20 min video call with the Hiring ManagerStage 3: 90 min F2F interview in our London ..... full job details .....
