Take ownership of the assigned software projects and report upon the development status to all the project/product stakeholdersRequirements capture from both internal and external customersDesign and develop software solutions for both in-house and external projectsTest and verification of the system and software using RF test equipmentWork closely with the hardware and firmware engineers to ensure that products are developed to satisfy the customer requirementsDiagnose software problems and implement solutions as requiredSuggest and introduce new technologies to improve productivity, reliability, reusability, etcWhat you’ll be involved in (continued)

The Senior Software Engineer will work within the existing software team to provide Systems Product Software integrated into military RADAR ESM receivers. The software controls the hardware setup, systems operation and processing of received data. On each project, they will be responsible for the majority of the software development life cycle.The Senior Software Engineer will have the opportunity to support installation and training which may involve international travel.This position will report directly to the Software Engineering Group Lead.Requirements and Qualifications

Experience in application development in C++ and C#Experience writing services on Windows, Embedded Windows and embedded processorsExperience of OpenGL, SQL and data analysis techniques would be beneficialExperience integrating with 3rd party software systemsBackground in electronics particularly around military systemsStrong physics and mathematics skillsAbility to achieve UK SC clearanceExcellent written and verbal communication skills including presenting and negotiating complex ideas with customersExperience of supporting other areas of a business such as sales bid support would be ideal, but not essentialQualifications

Good A-levels or equivalent in Maths, Physics, or other scientific subjectsEither:Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Physics, Maths, or Electronic Engineering or similarSignificant relevant experience in lieu of qualificationsMaster’s degree or better would be advantageousWe offer
