Senior Software Engineer

Location: Manchester (Hybrid + Compressed Week)

Salary: £50k – £65k + Bonus & Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a global defence client with offices in Manchester to work on projects where your code solves real-world challenges.

Senior Software Engineers will design and develop mission-critical software infrastructure for UK National Security, tackling complex technical problems, contributing directly to the codebase, and acting as technical guide for your team, mentoring junior engineers through design challenges.

Requirements & Tech Stack:

• Experience in either Backend (Java, Spring Boot, Maven, Python) or Frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, npm) software development. 
• Experience with CI/CD tools, containerisation, and cloud platforms.
• Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL technologies.
• Must hold current SC clearance.
