Now Hiring: Senior Software Engineer – Scientific Instrumentation (Bournemouth, UK – Majority onsite)We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative RandD team building desktop software that powers cutting-edge scientific instruments used in biotechnology and cell line development. This role sits at the intersection of software, hardware, and science — perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and making a real-world impact. Hence the requirement to be able to work across the stack.Location:
Bournemouth, UK (majority onsite with Hybrid flexibility)Base pay range:
Up to £95k base salary with a 5% bonus. The client can offer relocation assistance up to £10,000.What you’ll do
Act as the
technical implementation leader
on a core desktop platform used globally by scientists and engineersBridge the gap between
early-stage research and production-grade softwareInfluence
application workflow design , software direction, and cross-team architectural decisionsLead the successful transition of feasibility prototypes into scalable, maintainable codebasesCollaborate daily with RandD, Systems, and Hardware teams to deliver fully integrated product solutionsWork in an Agile SCRUM environment with modern tools and processesRequirements / Skills
