Senior Social Worker - Children with disabilities

Our client Rochdale Borough council is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join their Children with disabilities team.

As a senior social worker, you will be vital in the service to support the social workers and advanced practitioner. You will be responsible for undertaking statutory assessments in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and the Care Act 2014. This includes identifying and assessing a child''s needs, strengths, and risks, and developing person-centred care and support plans in partnership with children, families, and multidisciplinary professionals. You will manage the more complex case work alongside supporting lesser experienced social worker where needed. You will also have opportunity to deputise for the advanced practitioner.

Our agency workers are seen as an important resource for us and as such are given the same level of support and opportunities as our permanent staff.

• We are looking for one agency worker who have significant experience in working within a children with disabilities team including experience of child protection work, including family safeguarding and completing care proceedings.
• Significant experience to good compliance, recording and timely completion of work.
• Significant experience in support ASYE''s in the work place.
